Rogers Nforgwei People’s Award

Vision:
Transform the Donga-Mantung socio-economic and political ecosystem through people-centered and unselfish development.
Mission:
To cultivate and encourage the scarce culture of caring about and loving the people in our community and providing sustainable community development in varied ways – infrastructural facilities, human capital development and social amenities for decent living.
Eligibility:
Nominated candidates who demonstrate the spirit of the Award and meet the criteria outlined by the Rogers Nforgwei People’s Award Organizing Committee.
There’s no cash registration. However, amongst criteria to be outlined by the committee for each edition, winners should not have served a prison term, be under investigation or involved in an ongoing legal proceeding.
Organizing Committee:
This committee will be reviewed for each edition of the Rogers Nforgwei People’s Award.
Categories:
The categories shall vary. They will be limited to community initiatives with a measurable broad-based impact.
The chosen category for each Award Edition will be announced and nominees will be called for in that category.
Frequency:
As the categories will be alternating based on the socio trends and topical subjects, the frequency is open.
Prizes:
Prizes shall be symbolic shields and an attestation handed at the award ceremony and mediatized.
2018 Maiden Edition:
This edition is motivated by the fact that elected officials have come to full mandate either in parliament or in the council. It’s a good moment to recognize and encourage deserving people called to the service of our community.
So as a maiden and pilot edition, this category is directed at the councils and councils in Donga-Mantung. There are two sub categories:
1-    Rogers Nforgwei People’s Award, Councilor of the Mandate (2013 – 2018)

2-    Rogers Nforgwei People’s Award, Council of the Mandate (2013 – 2018)    
The 2018 is opened to all councilors in Donga Mantung Division
