All is set for the Rogers Nforgwei People’s award Ceremony

Members
of the selecting committee of councilors for the Rogers Nforgwei People’s award
ended their session Friday 2nd Match 2018 in Nkambe.
The
selection of the most effective councilors, groups of councilors of the mandate
(2013-2018) from the various councils in Donga Mantung started, last
Monday 20th February 2018, with the verification of the various councilors,
civil society, community leaders and others nominations and supporting
documents submitted. After the verification, some councilors were eliminated at the
various levels, from incomplete forms, to non-existence of project on the
field or project not executed by the councilor. The verification and
confirmation which started on the 19th of February continued till Friday 2nd Match when the committee
concluded their findings and job by selecting and categorizing in other of merits the
various councilors in the Council area.
The
selecting committee, chaired by the President Mr. Korgor John Kwa, appreciated
members for the hard work since the first preparatory meeting and other
meetings. He said the committee members are so efficient that more
responsibility can be place at their disposals. He appreciated Rogers Nforgwei
for the initiative and involving very objective community leaders at the base, thereby given the award the credibility it deserve.
The 2018
edition of the people's award is motivated by the fact that elected officials have come to full
mandate either in parliament or in the council and it’s a good moment to
recognize and encourage deserving people called to the service of our community
in that capacity.
The
vision of the Rogers Nforgwei people’s award is to transform the Donga-Mantung
socio-economic and political ecosystem through people-centered and unselfish
development, with the Mission To cultivate and encourage the scarce culture of
caring about and loving the people in our community and providing sustainable
community development in varied ways – infrastructural facilities, human
capital development and social amenities for decent living.
